The terrain has been rebuilt from the ground up.
The Instructor Station (build 251), the Boeing Glass Cockpit (build 547) and the Airbus Glass Cockpit (build 406) now draw their terrain from a new set of seamless tiles. The detail follows the map range: fine close in, the whole world when zoomed out. Water is shown in light blue.
The GA Glass Cockpit NX (build 107) uses the same tiles on its map, in the round HSI inset and for SVT, which is now shaded, with haze toward the horizon.
Download terrain.zip from Your Software Updates. It covers the whole world, with detailed tiles for Colorado and northern Italy. No internet on the simulator PC? Download it on another computer and copy it across with a USB key.
