While adding enhancements to the avionics in our hangar, I noticed that we could go back to where things started with Project Magenta. Freeware.
The GA IFR panel software is now available to all registered users on this website, in the Freeware section of Your Downloads.
It is the classic single-engine instrument panel, in four layouts: a Cessna-type and a Piper-type panel with the six-pack, radios, autopilot and engine instruments; a twin-engine panel; and an instruments-only black panel for those who build their own cockpit and want nothing but the gauges. It runs full screen on a second monitor or on a networked PC, and connects to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, Prepar3D and X-Plane through FSUIPC and WideFS, or through our pmWideClient for MSFS, X-Plane and FlightGear.
It is what it says: a panel. It is not an aircraft, it does not fly the simulator for you, and it is not a glass cockpit – the G1000-type panel is a separate product.
There will be other additions in the future.
