This is just the first implementation and several other options to handle this will be available. There are 6 positions (gates)... from top to bottom: TOGA FLX/MCT (Flux/Max Continuous Thrust) CLB (climb gate) IDLE REV IDLE (reverse idle) MAX REV Throttle positons, interpreting the joystick position... More than 95% of the full joystick throttle run sets the lever into the CLB gate Less 5% of the full joystick throttle run sets the lever into the IDLE gate When performing managed take-off (F/D on), set the lever into the CLB gate (full forward), then you will see the blinking LVR MCT anunciation in the PFD. At this stage you press the . (period) key (or + on the numeric keypad) and the lever will go into the FLX/MCT gate. A window will pop up briefly to show you that something happened. You can also see a small anunciation in the ECAM. The AT will be engaged when you move to the next gate, and if you have entered a FLX temp in the MCDU, it will be anunciated. You can move to the TOGA gate by pressing the same key. Once you have moved to the TOGA gate, the FLX temp will be deleted from the MCDU, please keep that in mind. After the takeoff sequence, i.e. when you pass the trust reduction altitude, LVR CLB will blink at you, and you have to move the lever to the CLB gate by pressing , (comma) or the - key on the num pad. The REV modes haven't been implemented yet. Important... moving the throttle to idle after this stage will disconnect the AT! This is just an experimental version, so please let me know your thoughts.
